Description:
This course is intended to build upon teachers knowledge of the many applications available to them through their district Google accounts. Teachers will learn about the advanced features of applications that they already use, as well as Google applications they may have never used before.
Required Materials
All participants should bring their district issued laptops, fully charged each morning. There will be opportunity to charge laptops during the day. However, outlets may be limited. They should also bring current curriculum planning materials, as many activities will give teachers the opportunity to create usable items in their classrooms. All other materials will be made available digitally through the workshop support wiki.
Workshop Objectives
By the end of the week, teachers will be able to:
1. Use Google applications to facilitate student collaboration.
2. Create dynamic web pages using the advanced features of Google applications.
3. Use Google applications as assessment tools.
4. Use Google applications to improve contact with parents and students.
4. Combine multiple Google applications to create technology infused lessons.
